Hi there, I'm Jared McCoy. I've lived in East Tennessee my whole life and in 2013 opened The Strand Salon with my wife Rachel McCoy.

I was inspired to leave my corporate career in 2023 after watching Rachel and our team at The Strand Salon for years. I kept telling myself I wanted a job like theirs, where I could help people build up their confidence and spend my days doing work that directly helps someone else have a better day.

Joining The Strand Salon full-time has allowed me to pursue my passion for working with my hands while helping people achieve the look they want. I specialize in keratin treatments and enjoy providing great haircuts that make you feel ready to take on the world.

When I’m not in the salon, I love playing and watching sports, cooking, camping under the stars, or skiing the slopes. Most of all, Rachel and I stay busy raising our young kids.

I’m here to deliver great service and help you leave looking and feeling your best. And if you ever feel like chatting about anything on your mind—life, work, hobbies, your fantasy football team, or your current favorite TV show—I'm happy to listen.
